And dealing with that on a daily basis, it can be enough to annoy you into submission it is possible to roll back to iOS 11 , after all. Siri gets better in iOS 12 by allowing you to create and run shortcuts for tasks that you might want to do at certain times of the day, as a result of an event, or when at a certain location. If you're a Safari user then Apple has some new privacy features for you. Not only will Safari in iOS 12 now block Share buttons and comment widgets on web pages from tracking you without your permission, but it will also prevent advertisers from being able to track you as you browse the web. But this stuff is hard to benchmark, and some of the improvements feel subjective. For example, apps feel like they fire up faster when the system is under load, but I'm not sure how much quicker they are to get to a usable state. I've seen similar results on other devices, going back to the iPhone 5S and iPad Air. Overall, the iOS 12 experience on older devices is noticeably better than the iOS 11 experience. The keyboard and camera responsiveness is clearly there, and there's a snappiness to using the devices that hadn't been there for years.

This also shows you how much of the time the app was running on the screen as opposed to in the background.
It's interesting to see what happens at night. Here it looks like the Mail app woke up to check for new emails. The chart also shows you when the device was on charge look for the lightning icon on the battery level chart. You can use this information to diagnose battery drain issues. The custom shortcuts lack instructions and any real actions, not to mention the official shortcuts app is nowhere to be found. These features as Apple announced them during WWDC and what is currently available in beta are two very different things. While chatty group FaceTime calls and time-saving Siri Shortcuts are still on the way, this beta shows you where they are at the moment -- and it's important to remember that both are still in development. I'm only bringing this up because it's happened to me: Beta builds can force you to factory reset your device and lose everything.
