It's really dumb that you can no longer manage your network from the website that worked perfectly fine. Managing your network with Comcast used to be easy, but now they keep dumbing it down more and more. They have a really non functional system for port forwarding. You used to be able to just add the IpV4 address for the device you wanted to port forward, but now it has to show up in their device list. It never does so its just impossible to port forward half the time.
The Xfinity app is somehow more pathetic than their actual internet service. Whenever my internet goes out, I always check the app first. Half the time, it says my router is up and running when it is in fact not, or the app doesn't even open, it just sits on a loading screen forever. Sometimes I get random devices that aren't even connected showing up on my device list, and the "test your connection" function has never worked once. A shame Google has a character limit, I have a lot more to say. If you lose connectivity, this app is worthless and will only add to your frustration. This and other screens also lack a menu or back button sometimes the app loads a white screen , so the only way to go back to the main menu is to close the app and reload. I don't understand what practical use this app has, but it certainly doesn't help you get back online.
